1978. Pale tawny. Nose of cinnamon, cabbage, goat cheese rind, sweet cherries, but with acidity underneath. Surprisingly crisp acidity on the palate, smooth tannins but still with a bit of chew. Flavours of ripe cherries and a kaleidoscope of exotic spices (five spice powder?). Long finish. Evolving and interesting with a lot of things to say. Reminds me of Cleopatra.
