Interesting how this white from the south of the Cote de Beaune reminds me white Pernands in the northern part. Nose is mostly cracked limestone minerality and a light toastiness, underneath which is lightly-honeyed apple fruit and a squeeze of lemon oil. In the mouth it’s powerful and lean, with more emphasis on angular structure (forceful acids and even a lightly tannic feel) and less on fruit. Loads of minerality. Lip-smacking!
