Tonight's wine of choice is the 2017 Dog Point Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, New Zealand.

The nose reveals notes of grapefruit, kiwifruit, guava, papaya, jalapeño, herbs, lemongrass and wet concrete.

On the palate there is pronounced notes of lime, grapefruit, kiwifruit, melon, celery and salty minerality.

This wine is medium bodied with medium to plus acidity that lead into a medium to long clean, refreshing, salty minerality with citrus finish. I hope everyone's weekend was a good one and we all look forward to the week ahead. Please be safe and make the week a positive one. Nostrovia! 🥂🥂🥂🥂

Too much acid and grapefruit for me. Better with food but sour on its own.

Ok I have already rated this before but I must admit it goes well with the fish curry Sri Lankan style. Lemon flavour comes out more than the grassy notes of this Marlborough Sav. Blanc. Feels like holidays with 30 deg. and a crispy white. Cheers

An off Wine with some bitterness. Not an expected taste - not smooth

Smooth, good fruit/acid balance, not too heavy

Surprising minerality, fresh and pronounced, blend nicely with herbaceous green pepper and subdued tropical flavors. Lovely acidity in the finish.

4/19. I have almost zero experience with white wine. This was clean and crisp. Not as tasty the closer it got to room temperature. But, it paired well with the quiche and lobster tail for Easter brunch.
