When I pulled this bottle of De Bortoli Rococo Premium Cuvee out of my recent Wine Selectors Customised Plan sample box, it brought back memories of visiting the De Bortoli Yarra Valley cellar door in 2012. Don’t you love how wine can do that? It can bring back so many wine-derful memories.

Rococo is made from the classic champagne grape blend – Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier. For under $20, it’s a real steal and screams to be matched with some fresh seafood in the mid-afternoon sun.

Here are my tasting notes on it:

It’s a pale yellow shade in the glass with a very fine stream of tiny bubbles. When I stuck my nose into the glass, I picked up notes of crisp lemons, florals and French vanilla. In the mouth it made me think of old fashioned lemonade with a smooth and refreshing finish. A nice and easy drinking bottle of bubbles.

This bottle was sent to me as a sample from Wine Selectors.

Please note: All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!
