I've heard some Slovenians refer to Italian wine as 'sweet water.' In this case they are wrong despite the wine's name. Floral acidic reds are a good thing.

Dec 29th, 2014Not hard to guess after drinking this that the Rossi di Dolceacqua grapes are organically grown in the steep saline hills of Liguria. It s delicate & lady like with a simple complexity. The open nose reveals a high finish of Craisins™ backed up by rose hips & petals.

Blackberry jam, dried blueberry nose lots of clay mushroom earthiness. Opened up nicely after 1st glass towards fresher fruit and dried Italian herb notes. Slight dry finish.
