2012 drunk in 2020. Beautiful color with slight tawny age on the rim. Distinct leather, jerky smokiness, yet very clean with a clear sour fruit. Definitely improved after an hour or two in the open bottle.

Soft and approachable. This 2012 is ready-to-drink, and a great wine to introduce your friends to Piedmont. Muted tannins, integrated sour cherry notes, not overtly oaky, buy pine notes are there.

Intense black cherries. Rustic astringency. Delicious. Just add time.

Lighter, approachable and pleasant. The latest 4 vintages have been pretty consistent.

Probably to soon for this Barolo; considering that this was a value wine I decided to try it now! I am getting sour cherries, rose petals, black licorice, anise and wet stone. Decent first experience with a Barolo!

Tasted blind: pretty classic... Tar, rose bouquet, chalk and limestone. Minerality driven on the palate with a little heat and plenty of tannin. Strawberry fruit too. Lacks significant complexity. Solid.

Imminently quaffable... easy drinking smooth Barolo, not one that needs aging. Delicious now, with very light floral aromas, plenty of tea leaves + cola + sour cherry, nice acidity, and smooth tannins. A steal at our local sale : $26
