Interesting massive cab - the nose initially was like an old concert barrel room (love that) and it’s dark raspberry quickly is overtaken by the tannins. This needs 5 more years to rest (I did decant it). Worth a try - good wine and back story.

Always enjoy DS wines - big, bold and well made. Beautiful wine, but needs a 2 hour decant at this point.

Another example of how great the wines being made by Dakota Shy are. Todd Newman and Tom Garrett have a knack for making great wines. This Cabernet, even very young, sends a message to every other iconic Napa cabernet they have something to contend with. Lots of black fruit and blue fruit on the nose with incredible flavors of blackberries, plums, and currants. I love this wine.
