Mid Ruby - good clarity. Aromas of strawberries and burnt, tarry notes. On the palate quite fleshy with strawberries and sappiness. Medium minus bodied but with medium plus intensity. Silky mouthfeel. An exciting and different Pinot Noir. Tasted again 11 weeks later on 12th December 2019 with similar notes. A good balance between sweet and savoury fruit characters. Excellent.

Surprised it’s been over four years since I last tasted this vintage. And hasn’t it developed! Much more towards savoury and charcuterie flavours now, although some dark cherry remains. Slightly drying finish, faintly reminiscent of cocoa. It’s certainly much softer and mature than I recall, moving into its autumnal phase. Drink soon, I’d say.

(It’s 2014 vs 2012 tonight. Half bottles once again!) More serious and savoury than the 2014. The nose is more understated, but more complex. Dried fruits and autumn leaves complement the dark cherry aromas, which continue through the palate followed by a drying, spicy thrust through the finish. More notes show up with every sip. Another very good pinot.

Strange. Started soft and round then developed acid and structure the more it opened. Started as a 9 then ended a 9.2

Usually not a fan of Pinot noir, but had a glass of this with one of the courses from Sydney Tetsuya's degustation, and was sold.

Bright clean ruby colour approaching garnet. It is full of beautiful floral, strawberry, plum and earthy aroma backed by substantial oaky notes. Structured and defined tannins and acidity replenishes the palate like a tall but graceful waterfall. Drink now but will also age quite nicely. First had this at the Vancouver International Wine Festival. Had to get it again.
