The 2021 Cloudy Bay Sauvignon is a precise, focused style offering vibrant passionfruit, elderflower and gooseberry fruit. This was a low-yielding vintage, and that's reflected in the intensity of concentration and aromatic richness. With mouthwatering but balanced acidity, this is really delightful, pure and vibrant Sauvignon Blanc with stony sinew on the finish. Best consumed in youth for its aromatic appeal. Favorite of my daughter-in-law’s mother. Had to serve with a trout dinner. It did not disappoint, aromatic, fruity and smooth ($35).

Pale lemon-hued. Aromas of bell pepper, grapefruit, grass, and rubber, with citrus and minerals on the palate. Medium body and high acidity. A medium-length finish. Textbook example of Marlborough SB.

Quite lovely. Massive peach and great acidity. Mix in some floral tones and it’s an awesome hot, summer wine.

So I wanted to taste the legend of SB in NZ. The nose is great with lemon and other citrusy notes, that typical cat piss note, other herbal notes i am not able to pin. The palate is very well made with a massive acid backbone, some lemon, citrusy notes all along, a good width and some very lively mouthfeel. The finish is long and extra fresh with those citrusy notes. That's exquisite! It reminded me of some Sancerre I had
