Priorat Red Blend

A little bretty, but I liked it.

A very distinctive blend from one of the oldest wine growing regions in the world. It balances the power and massive and concentrate structure as most of Priorat wines, but also a great fine elegance, The vines are surrounded by mountains up to 1.200 metres high and the vineyard’s lower extremes are lovingly caressed by the Siurana River. A big wine very interesting and serious. Love it (PS need red meat) 😃

Young with tobacco, dark fruit and oak. Interesting flavors with a new Spanish for us.

This wine is big.

Medium intensity ruby quite narrow ruby rim , looks slightly younger than the 2010 . Slightly richer nose , higher toned fruit, more red fruit than black . Summer fruits in the palate, riper tannins , acidity less noticeable . Still long complex , less mineral perhaps . Sweeter tannin and finish . Also needs time 5 -10 years. After a while shows more mineral , saline nuances and shows better balance .

This was decent, but an off bottle. Not corked but a lingering mustiness that detracts from the experience.
