Priorat Red Blend

Big and bit young and raw. Oak is showing. May develop but not my style now

Licorice candied red fruits spice and intense tannins. Better day 2. ( 2008 vintage)

Mmmm tar and spice and smoke and spice and tannin and spice. Great wine.

Tertiary notes kicking in on the background.
Still fruit there.

Medium intensity ruby , showing a little garnet on the rim . More open, elegant on the nose , more development. Touch of leather , spiced blackberry, touch or tar . More noticeable acidity and less notable body, elegant but also shorter and less complex. This is ready now , however will last , not sure if this will improve . The weakest of the vertical .

PnP, but could use some air. Still young. Dark fruit, plum, and chocolate on the nose. Medium acidity and blackberry in the mouth. Slightly flat with moderate depth. Medium minus finish that has great texture. Small upside surprise in my mind.

Luscious depth, full bodied and changes as it opens fully. Long soft finish. Excellent.

Possibly best wine ever.

The '08 Clos Mogador Garnacha Blend from Priorat was a nice match with a charred rare ribeye. Aromas of blackberry, game and wood smoke lead to a most pleasant midpalate. A beautifully balanced wine that hits on all cylinders. Noticeable tannins, layered fruit, and a lingering finish make for a most impressive wine.
