Drink now but still beautiful

Good straightforward st-Emilion. Drinks beautifully after 19 years.

Thank goodness we saw the other side of Y2K.

I've never tried anything like this. It truly swept me off my feet.

Very nice and youthful out of the gate but 2-3 hr decant had this falling off. Still very enjoyable.

2000 vintage. Medium ruby hue. Initially faulty but blew off quickly. Lots of earth, mushroom and truffle. Mature. Not much fruit left. On the palate, medium acidity and alcohol, medium body, medium minus integrated tannins. Medium intensity and medium plus finish. Not bad but drink now. Will not improve further and already on the downhill slope, although no drying on the finish. NB. After 20 mins, the wine is crashing.
