Santa Cruz Mountains Estate Pinot Noir

Ruby red color, slight dark edges, with aromas of red fruits, forest floor and floral spice. On the palate flavors of cherry and raspberry with cedar notes, tea, cola, black pepper, cinnamon spice and earthy herbs. Full-bodied, fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit, sweet oak and a spicy earthy character.

2017 vintage. Last tasted 1.10.24 (9.4). Still medium-heavy body. Absolute whirlwind of kitchen spice flavors (tarragon, clove, ginger, bay leaf, cinnamon...) with rhubarb, tree bark, eucalyptus, orange peel and spearmint/menthol. Quite the ride. Effing delicious with just the right amount of tartness. On a roll. 3.30.25.

2017 vintage. Medium-heavy body. Some spice. Plenty of fruit. Not lacking for skeletal structure. Drinking beautifully now. A producer to keep both eyes on. 1.10.24.
