Shows the generosity of 2010! Dried flowers, tabac, baked tomatoes and dark cherries and classic sangio acid/tannins. Time(6-10yrs) will be great but '10's give pleasure early.

We had the 2010 vintage on 5/15/22. An excellent wine. Medium bodied and Old World. Lilac, black cherry and sandalwood on the bouquet. Black cherry, chocolate and leather on the palate. The tannins were all smoothed out. Needed 2 hours of air.

Pop and then 5 hrs slow ox. Gorgeous showing. I didn't find the oak treatment particularly obtrusive. This showed very classic with loads of rose, blood orange and a touch of tar, with a hint of leather. On the palate: acidity a touch softer than I like, but fantastic density, with wild strawberry, leather and blood orange. Very soft tannin on the finish, to the point I was surprised this wasn't much older. Very good, but if this btl is representative, not sure this will age gracefully.

Finally... these hills have gold!!!
@Trattoria Il Leccio Sant'Angelo in Colle.
Small place, Big wine list.

Asked for recommendation.... blown away.

Age and alcohol showing in clear-gold-garnet rim. A beautiful cherry nose, with a hint of anise (but not licorice!). Stand by for more...

Rounded out beautifully, very soft silky tannins. Spectacular.
