Showing beautifully, firm tannins, bright acidity and a wonderful nose of plum, cassis, burnt honey, truffle, cigar/cedar and menthol. Almost at its peak, with 5-7 years to go before the down-slope. 1989 vintage.

Beautiful perfumed nose, along with requisite tobacco and leather. Good length

Good balance. Wine has softened. Doesn’t need any more aging.

Birth year wine :-) Second time having this wine, almost two years apart. Wonderful - developing well, less fruity and tannic than the 86. Should hit it's stride soon.
