Medium ruby , quite narrow rim. Slightly toasty , dark plum , dark cherry , some dry spice , touch of cocoa, quite ripe after a while , a liquor quality to the fruit . On the palate quite rich and round , generous , with a mix of summer fruits , plum , cherry , blackcurrant, touch of cocoa . Balanced acidity , but pretty punchy alcohol , better at a slightly cooler temperature, juicy quite sweet tannins. A bit short on the finish and a little one dimensional but juicy and round, quite polished and modern in style. Drink now and over the next 5 years or so, to make the most of the juicy fruit.
