Classic right bank Bordeaux, but I don't feel this is really singing. Characteristic dark fruit, earth, tannin, etc, but a *slight* off taste in the finish (bitter, almost) leaves a bit to be desired.

From the list at our neighborhood favorite, L'Express, this Right Bank Bordeaux is dark and earthy and enjoyable if not particularly complex. Enjoyed over dinner with my mother, sister and godmother, all of whom were visiting from England for our wedding.

Beautiful dark cherry, dark and tart, no clear rim yet despite age, long way to go and it’s already there. Excited.

Medium red color with blackberries on the nose. Rich lingering flavors and long aftertaste. The merlot is showing beautifully.

This wine is so French that I immediately felt like I had to be snooty and insult someone. Thin with plummy fruit and baking spices. Oak when it was first decanted but that disappeared. A quick burst of flavors turned into a longer drawn out complexity with air. Then we watched Jerry Lee Lewis movies when we were done.

Took an hour to open. At first it was tight and closed. When it opened it here was a lot of dark fruit and earth.
