Gamey, dusty, with a lot of desiccated red fruit. Cool.

Quite big and ripe with soft leather notes on the noise. Sour berries on the noise as well. Beautiful structure and amazing finish

Decanted for 2 hours and tasted over a further 2. All sediment was removed with a filter, and yet, this wine had a striking opaque quality. The colour was a brown brick. Aromas of leather, violets, hay, spice and strawberries. On the palate, this Musar was remarkably firm with sour berries dominating and a gripping acidity for nearly 20 years old. I don’t know why I was expecting some flabbiness with age, but it was anything but. It was sharp and focused and could go a lot longer, I’d bet. The length was atleast 40-50 seconds. This was better than the last bottle I had.

20 years huge. The acid is so powerful with significant supporting structure. This bottle is enjoying life without restraint.

Silky & deep. Plenty of alluring dark fruit with some smoky topnotes. Smoke is prevalent on the nose. Drinking beautifully.

1999 vintage on 11.5.18
From a 375bottle. Semi transparant and very clear, pure red purple. Fantastic nose, leather, cinnamon, vannila, smoked wood, tar, 5 spices. Words cannot express it but I’ll give it a try: lush, Christmas, fire on a beach, steamy windows, the best steak you ever had.....
Did I mention my wife and I got married in 1999. So guess tonight we are gonna party like it is.....
