1999 vintage. deep brick red fading to pale brick rim. Wet charcoal wet graphite with textured layers of savory spice and black fruit. Tannin profile terrific with long chain polymer tannins. Milk chocolate cocoa milky tannins leading to a silky finish. Still youthful and vibrant.

Perfect balance. Lovely aromas of mocha & tobacco drink it now - delicious Served in Magnums 'civilised' was the winemakers quote!

Just not my style of wine. Tasted more like the taint of the ram pictured than grape juice. :-)

A 60 minute decant and wine was ready to drink. Simpler less complex but a good dinner companion

Elegantly wild. Complexity throughout. Shows strikingly intense aromatics of myriad barn notes. Reserved on the palette, this is gentlemanly austere at 12.5%. Long, focused finish. Doesn’t get too much better for my liking.
