Chateau Montelena
Calistoga Zinfandel
Nose of blueberry, fig, dry herbs, caramel, and hint of syrup. Soft and supple on the palate with cool acidity. Silky tannins lead to long lightly candied finish.
Delicious and easy drinking, though not as elegant as the 14’. Best QPR from the winery.

Outstanding Zin with a complex flavor profile. Lush red fruit, smoke, minerality that lingers. The rich red color is a great start. The nose is luxuriant. A treat🍷

Mar 14th, 2021This zin is just as good as their cabs. Well balanced and not overly jammy. It is aged in French/Irish/ American oak barrels for 16 months, 15% of which are new. I can't recall ever seeing irish oak barrels before.
