Quite mature colour , with medium garnet terracotta core and medium terracotta rim . Quite earthy and coffee grind nose , just a touch oxidative , touch of nori and dried currants, dried spice . On the palate this has ok density , fills out alright with a bit of a tobacco , dried currants , sous bois and walnut . Better on the palate than the nose actually . Ok length and balance , slightly dry tannins . Quite classic and just lacks a little bit of charm , might be better bottles out there. Drink now, past peak but still hanging on.
