2012 vintage. Decanted and tasted after 2 hours. Threw almost zero sediment. Reticent nose but chocolate, earth and coffee flavors. In a great place currently. 12.8.23.

2012 vintage opened April 2017. I was underwhelmed, but I don't known how this bottle was stored. Leather and earth on the nose. Not much happening on the front of the palate. Nice tannic balance on the mid palate and back palate. Overall an inoffensive Bordeaux, but vastly overpriced for what I was getting. Disappointed.

This 2012 is drinking beautifully right now. Elegant but still robust.

Maybe 2012 is not the most enduring Bordeaux vintage, but this wine is outstanding right now. Two couples enjoyed two bottles with a delicious steak dinner, to which the La Chapelle La Mission Haut-Brion stood up beautifully.

Leather, spice, earth, dark red fruit. Subtle anise. Medium mouthfeel and crimson color. Beautiful and delicious!
