Pessac-Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend

Elegant and balanced. Featured more mineral/savory notes.

Dark tawny red. Opaque. Amber rims. Old world nose with notes of blackberries, gravel, cedar box, some barnyard and a little menthol. Surprises you in the mouth with an impactful dollop of fruit plus nice acidity. Nice showing for the vintage.

1994 Vintage- Licorice, smoke, desiccated orange peel, still some acidity but on the decline.

Birthday wine #2: notes of cherry, raspberry, chocolate, Unami. Soft tannins. Graceful. A bit short but still great.

Refinement and plushness reminiscent of the right bank with a quiet firmness of the lower left bank.

Let's start with classic Haut Brion elegance. So soft, beautiful and understated. Black plum, black raspberries, dark cherries, cooked strawberries, even a touch of cooked rhubarb, suede leather, cedar, spice box, dried red roses, elegant wet black earth and a finish one never forgets. Perfect pair with the lamb chops. Out of 375ml.

20 years for an 'off' vintage. Terroir is terroir. Brilliant and classic Pessac.
