As James Suckling predicted, come back to it in 2017 - well, it is 2018 and this one is about as good as it will get. Mushroom, loamy soil, soy sauce, leather, gravel dust, and decaying flowers, red plum, cooked down cranberries, cocoa powder, and kalamata olive all on the nose. The color is brick red with an orange rim, a medium body, and elegant tannin, but bright acidity. Blackberries, cranberry, pepper, delicious red apple skin, and a smooth finish. Good by itself, but better for food - duck breast or fillet mignon.

Had this wine again. Didn't get any better. Dark purple color. Aromas of red fruit and spice. Palate displays tart fruit, cherries and berries, biting tannins, combined with earthy notes on the long finish. Drink up as good as it gets.

Fairly nice, dark robust fruit, Cassis, a bit of leather and cedar.. not bad for the price.

I often look for mushrooms, musty, forest floor. This is my new benchmark. Hard to beat.

For a 2010 a bit quick to decline.

Blackberry and cassis along with lots of other flavors. Herbs, grass, licorice, orange peel, cocoa, graphite, and pretty strong tannins. Complex and delicious.

Like a pleasant musty attic. Earthiness and dark fruits blend with chocolate, espresso, and cedar. Gripping finish of graphite; overall it's still taming itself in the bottle but there's great flavor potential.

Not opened up yet.
Earthiness driven, hints of dark cherry and plum, brilliant acidity, high alc, high but rustic tannin with good finish. Needs more fruits to balance up.
