Needed the perfect Yquem for seared fois gras, with warm orange compote as accompaniment. ‘97 Yquem Leander orange/tangerine more than apricot. Worked perfectly. Very steady and balance. Long golden length. Perfect.

Lucious and rich, apricot marmalade, acacia honey, candied pineapple and caramel. One of their best vintages.

Great experience, second best Yquem in the 90s, great acidity, honeysuckle, peach, full botrytis. I have only drunk 1990 which was ever so slightly better in the 90s. A privilege to drink and at a 180 euros a bottle it was a steal.

Magnificent. Honey and amber. Paired or on its own, it’s sure to please your palate.

Château D'quem. Maybe the best wines in the world....créme brûlée, honeysuckle, honeyed apricot, rich and opulent
