Drinking well. Savory and woody, a touch soft, slightly volatile. Peppery, both green and black. Killer with grass fed steak. Good now, this bottle was rather resolved and lacking structure

A spicy, herbal nose with notes of tar, bay leaves, overripe blueberry, meaty notes like iron, a nose that smells of pine, with an underlying freshness that’s welcoming, cutting through the heavily perfumed nose. The body is medium, with prominent grippy tannins that show the youth, with prominent blueberry, a little black cherry, with spicy energy, tar, underripe balsamic, herbs de Provence, graphite and a looong finish. I really enjoyed this, and a great first step for St. Estephe.

2018 vintage. Ripe, fruity nose. Medium body. Decent amount of grip. Front and mid-palate fruit/flavors dissipate rather quickly tho. Left with aged notes of coffee and tea on the finish. Flashy and showy immediately upon opening. Recedes a bit after those initial few draws.
