9.8 for 10 Clerc Milon, big wine with lots of everything: high tannin, high acidity, loads of complex flavors (mint, cigar box and exotic spice), built to age. 11 has distinct licorice flavor, lighter in body & tannin with moderate length, so 8.9. 06 has a rich body but more integrated tannins than 10 with chocolate & tobacco notes, so 9.4. 2000 more linear body with intense aromatics: graphite, dusty earth and smoked meats so 9.6 for intoxicating nose.

Last wine in flight four for the Bordeaux Master's Class at Heart's Delight with wines from Saint Julien and Pauillac.

Deep garnet red. Nose was quite chalky and earthy with some dirty cellar notes. Medium tannins (6.5/10) and low to medium bodied. Dark fruits on the palate with red cherries. Medium to full bodied. Drink till 2028.

Unmistakable Pauillac nose; smoldering forest breeze, saddle leather, cassis, graphite. Fresh and pure black fruit on the palette. More command on the nose than the flesh, but captivating none the less.

A nice example of a Rothschild family wine. Nose of cedar, plums and black currant with similar flavors spinning in the substantial tannins. Medium to long finish. Drinking great now and for a while to come. Enjoyed it!

Decanted for 30min. Dried fruit with slight acidity. Medium to short aroma. Decent.

There is nothing like a classic left bank Bordeaux. Hint of mint up front, leads to wet slate, and finishes with deep blackberry. Built from the ground up, CM is a great expression of the superior 2005 vintage.
