Typical, well-crafted #castillon #cotesdebordeaux . Forceful French oak upon opening but let it breath for an hour and you’ll get cassis, bramble fruit, sous bois nose, bright acidity, some cocoa, braising spice, fine textured tannins on the finish.

Earthy with hints of leather and a little cherry, a pinch of pepper. Very dry and well structured. It did open up more after being open an hour which revealed more fruit. Very good accompaniment to the Crusted Chicken Romano for our 29th wedding anniversary

Graphite, pencil lead, faint blackberry notes. Tight with firm tannins even after being opened for over 2 hours. Stylistically correct; boring.

Liked it. A little bold, but very smooth.
