Blend of Merlot (78%) and Cabernet Franc (22%). Dark garnet color with purple highlights. Takes some time to open up. Beautiful aromas of blueberry and black plum with hints of graphite, tobacco, and rose petals. Palate is loaded with cooked blue and black berry fruit (especially black raspberry) with notes of tobacco, dark chocolate and black licorice. Very long earthy, herbal and mineral driven finish. Bold and ripe with beautiful structure. Excellent!

2018 vintage. First visit in a few months. Unified nose. Spearmint component emerging in the frontal palate. Medium body but seems to have gained a little weight in the last few months. Sandalwood, cinnamon and eucalyptus nose on the slightly astringent finish. Still a 9.3.

2018 vintage. Deep purple hue. Crushed violets plus tidbits of black tea, raspberry, older oak and damp earth along for the bouquet ride. Quite the dance around the borealis. Light-medium bodied. Classic flavors and structure leading to a polished finish. No flamboyance whatsoever…honed and focused. Well-made, textbook Bordeaux with all systems GO!
