Its like a Listrac-Mèdoc grown at elevation. What an interesting wine. Black currants, black berries, weathered leather, crushed herbs, and roasted spices such as anise. The Merlot tannins are smooth and dusty, but it's the acidity that really sets it apart from other Napa blends.

A nice by-the-glass wine for dinner tonight. Deep inky purple, black fruit, nice acidity and minerality. Solid blend with strong youthful tannins.

Had it at Shanahan's. Good mouth feel, full bodied. Not overly tanic. Quite good.

Smoked plum, cigar, blackberry, old leather, black currant, cassis, black cherry, & tar. Tannic, dry finish. Big, lush, stewed fruit & fruit skins. Medium acidity. Fair amount of fruit juice & black pepper plays under all the tannins. Tasty.
