Classico Amarone della Valpolicella Corvina Blend

It’s a good wine. But still, an entry level Amarone no matter which way you cut it.

We’ll balanced and full bodied. Light texture. A little smoke and cherry?

Earthy with cocoa, oak, and blackberry. Slightly tart, but opens up.

Earthy, oak, and unsweetened cocoa powder with a hint of blackberry.

The smell of barnyard lingering throughout on a otherwise typical nose of black cherry, raisin, fig, licorice, and lightly roasted coffee beans. Medium to full body. Smooth and balanced, but certainly I would like a bit more richness and depth in an Amarone.

Cocoa powder and coffee over earth and tart blueberry. A touch too sharp for me but nice.

Whoa would’ve blown this in a blind. Not the typical Italian cough syrup. Full body, stewed red fruits, not raisinated. Bit of chocolate.

Dry, dark with cocoa powder and coffee, hints of oak and pepper. A touch earthy for me but good acidity for food.
