Big fan of these style of wines. GOK being the only Grenache heavy wine from Christophe, but this is 90% in the same vein as the portfolio of Syrahs, with a little more elegance and brightness.
Followed over three days, consistent throughout. Typical aromatic notes of pepper, potpurri, spiced raspberries, cherry flavored jerky and noticeable stem inclusion. Nervy and herbal on the palate. Iron, olive, blood orange, and tangy strawberries wrapped in a spice yet nimble profile. There’s an odd spritz that I’ve not gotten on these before, so who knows what that’s about. An absolute dynamite pairing with elk tenderloin.

Color - a luscious crimson red. What a nose! Cayuse funk & raspberry-plum fruit, jumping from the glass with smokey meat, black pepper and a touch of cigar box lingering. Taste - a smooth textured, creamy wine coating the palate with notes of strawberry fruit, herbs, orange peel, and green bell pepper with a long smoked bacon, raspberry finish.

+1 hour decant(some fine/cloudy sediment). A remarkable dark crimson red color. On the nose: Riveting nose that keeps you coming back with raspberry/plum, smoked pork, that Cayuse funk(luv it), pepper, touch of cigar box. Taste: smooth, juicy, balanced wine with strawberry-raspberry, minerals, earth, orange peel, green pepper, smoked pepper bacon and a beautiful lingering finish. YUM!
