A 30 yr old beauty. Didn’t think Cab Frac could go that long and keep such freshness. Not only is it fresh with good acidity and bright red fruit with mellow green pepper, it’s got supple tannins that keep it interesting. Was delicious on its own but with food it was crazy good.

Historic vintage, classic wine. Still has bright red fruit, great acid, no oxidation, a fair amount of funk, more than a fair amount of green pepper.

Fuego. Classic cab franc but supple waves of fruit and not a hint of oxidation

Guessed right-bank Bordeaux on a blind pour. Mucho pyrozines and vegetal. Holding firm.

Absolutely stunning, typical Loire crushed rock, red fruit that evolved into a sparkling Burgundian plateau after a couple of hours.

First bottle in a multiple vintage dinner of these wines. Plenty of finesse still here. Aromatically offering a ton of floral & truffle notes. Red berries mixed with briny, secondary flavors on the palate. Finishes a bit soft, but is a 30 year old wine so who’s worrying about that? Excellent.

Bell pepper, tomato, roses, leather, preserved lemon. Just wild. Best Breton I’ve had.
