I haven’t been drinking for about two years now because of some crazy inflammation and back pain. Happy to be back drinking wine with my new healthy diet. This was excellent. Clean and pretty complex for a 20 dollar bottle of wine. It really opened up after a couple hours I could have easily drank the entire bottle to my head. Not sure if 2020 was good year for Tuscany/Chianti but this was very good. I usually prefer my Chianti/Sangiovese a little bit riper but I don’t really have any complaints with this bottle.

Medium Ruby red with aromas of red fruits, floral and sweet spice. On the palate flavors of tart cherry, currant and raspberry with tobacco, banking spices and nutty notes. Fine rustic tannins, vivid acidity, medium finish ending with fruit and earthy spice. Good now and short-term age as well!

Creamy, digestible acid with bright cherry and raspberry fruit forward. Soft tannins that don’t beg for food. Top three Chianti for me.

Not a ton on the nose. Pomegranate. Smooth. Hint of oak. Dry. Grapefruit rind and a bit smoky in the finish.

Proof that sangiovese is better and elegant than other grapes at a way lower price point

Fantastic chianti. Deep plum notes and a slight mineral finish. Pairs well with New York style pepperoni pizza on a Friday night.
