This wine is luscious from the first pour. Bright red cherries and vanilla notes on the nose show a wonderful balance that is found when good Zinfandel grapes are carefully vinified. The mouth is full and rich, hefty and zippy at the same time with a beautifully fresh acidity. I’ve tasted Zins this good before, but they cost twice as much.

At home. Bouquet of mild leather and tannins. Soft dark fruit and soft soft black pepper upfront. Then a tannic finish but little pepper.

Whoa! That’s a Hefty Zin! (Unlike a couple of recent CH Zins)
This particular CH Zin is rather full bodied(yea!) interesting wine with some legs in the middle and finish with a nice nose to boot! Extremely drinkable with and without food. I want more of this(particularly at this price $😋
