Even after 4 hours, it still needed to breathe. Good spice and fruit.

I am a bit surprised by this wine. It has body but lacks some of the fruit tones I expect from a quality Zin. Nothing wrong with it, but I have tasted better.

15.1 alcohol. After it opened up..for a not so good vintage..it was quite nice. Not great. Cherry notes. Red fruit. Some plum.

Going to let the other bottle lay down for a bit longer ... Maybe it just needs a little age?

Enjoyed this with friends last night. Makes me excited to try the Cakebread chard we've been saving in our wine rack -- what are we waiting for?? :)
