A HUGELY perfumed nose, with strong notes of plum gummy candy, fresh figs, with a slight spice, and vegetal hints that I couldn’t quite put my finger on. The color betrays the age, with prominent bricking to the edges, with a beautiful light rose core. The palate still has quite a bit of zing to it, with hints of tart cherries, plum jam, some overripe cranberry, and maybe some fig preserves, prominent floral notes towards the end, with a dry finish that betrays some tar and cigar smoke towards the back of the palate, but the breath still feels like fresh cut red roses.
