Bouchard Père et Fils
Puligny-Montrachet Chardonnay

2011 vintage. Slightly past it’s peak, really nice still, but just not great. Yellow apple, almond, lemon, verbena. Has nice acidity but not as nuanced as many white Burgundies are

Fairly dark golden color w/toasty oak & brioche on nose, also some flint & stone alongside pineapple, lemon oil & orange rind. Fat silky & viscous across mid palate, a bit sluggish w/wood slightly overtaking fruit on palate. Still impressive but I’m a few years late in this. I’m a Folatieres guy - can’t recall where I picked up this bottle.
