Light yellow straw color. Happy to see its not dark gold. Vanilla and honeysuckle nose. In the mouth the fruit is sweet, balanced with nice acidity and structure. Good finish. Nice wine but don't see this getting better.

Feb 28th, 2016I'm going to amend the notes below. On day 2 this firmed up a bit. It did not go the route of other premox wines that started out like below. Still wasn't great tho. Maybe reduced?? There are some decent qualities here. Still awkward and I don't know where this goes in the future. Initial TN: Med gold color. Sweet in the nose, too sweet. In the mouth its a bit flat. I wouldn't say this is totally premoxed but it appears to be on its way. Very awkward. Didn't improve with air. Not representative of the Chevy vineyard and definitely not representative of the 2004 vintage. Bummer.
