2012 Booker Vineyard Fracture Syrah - young but delicious. Aromas and flavors of black licorice, pepper, olives black cherry and smoked meats. Great acidity with silky texture and moderate tannins. I'd love to see this wine again in 5-8 years or just drink another one now.

A bit unfair to have this great wine follow that 2005 Realm…but this one was awesome, too. Might have peaked, but I predict a long, graceful decline so no rush.

Dec 31st, 2021From a few days ago. Absolutely terrific (and good to go upon opening - guessing it’s at or hust skightly beyond peak). Definitely one of the better wines I’ve had from Eric Jensen’s operation in Paso!

The big red for tonight, and it's without a doubt big! Candied blackberry, coffee, vanilla, still very young, but I want more meat/bacon/fat and olives in my syrah...will post more of a note and rate after a decant...
Decant helped, but still pretty hot to me...no real new flavors jump out at, not my favorite
