California Chardonnay

It's hard to get away from the fact that this wine is $9.99/bottle pineapple butterscotch definitely some R.S. Here but for the price nice

Chardonnay grapes sourced in Clarksburg, Monterey and Lodi, fermentation partly in American oak (50% new), sur-lie ageing and matured 9 months in new American oak.
Bright yellow colour, ripe white peach in the nose (almost Bellini-like) and vanilla (oak). The oak is even more obvious in the mouth, slightly overpowering the ripe peach fruit. Not particularly long, nor very complex, but decent value at 13 euro. The wine would fare better with less oak though. 2014 vintage,

Oaky but with a light, creamy mouth feel. Fuller body Chardonnay.

Pineapple, citrus and butterscotch. Smooth and great deal for price.
