I used to sell a lot of Carmelo Rodero’s wines and am an acquaintance of his and his daughters. They make fantastic wines, I was told that in 2017 they didn’t make this wine because it was such a challenging vintage (frost, hail and extreme summer heat) that the few grapes they had needed to be saved for the crianza and above. It has been a long time since I had last tried this wine and I was very impressed. Pronounced aromas and flavours and a nice fine grained tannins. #qpr #riberadelduero #spain

Sep 5th, 2020I can only say good things about this entry Ribera. Explosion of fruit and balance with a touch of wood. Not the usuall power of a Ribera, but very well made.

Jul 17th, 2021Tried this with dinner at a tapas bar in Madrid. Very solid Spanish red. Pairs well with some Iberian jamón.
