Blind tasting, wine number 7, bag number 6. Mix between crimson and garnet red. Tight nose that was very sweet, like syrup and a little bacon. On the palate there was a lot of raisins, ethanol, very sweet and dried fruits. Definitely needed some more time to open up at least 4+ hours. Moderate body with moderate tannins (6.5/10). Could tell it was a pinot, and from our experience at the Pinot Noir Wine Club night we knew it had to be a Bevan Pinot.

powerful fruit but backbone to balance. polished tannin, could really use 5-10, but pretty now.

No doubt that this is serious stuff, and if you love Syrah, you're in for a treat. In a way, they missed the point IMHO.

Fabulous 2013 from Petaluma Gap from Bevan Cellars does it again! Very impressive. Layers of fruit, supple with loads of plum, black fruits. Wow how does he do it? Say a prayer that you get to try this awesome wine! CB 95+

I very much enjoyed this Cuvée de @Martin G Rivard ! "A cab drinkers Pinot" he'd declare and he'd be correct.

Fully extracted without being manufactured.

My 400th note!

I chose this because I thought it well represented where I have travelled through in the
@Delectable Wine world.

If two years ago, you'd tell me I'd be having a Pinot by a well known producer that was bought at auction, I would have declared you mad!

I have all of you to thank for your knowledge, humor, good will and penchant for showing off great wines (and some of you for, ahem, showing off more than wine!)

This was was not quite why I was expecting, but not in a bad way. Many notes described the power, over extraction and occasional burn. I think the extra year in the cellar has done this well. I found it to be quite pure but rich. Not overly extractive. A round mouthfeel with nice tannins. Raspberry and other red fruits dominate.

Cheers to my friends!

Another awesome Bevan Cellars PN experience. Tasted next to the 2014. This was a bit more mature.
