Still big and fierce but it opens with air and went nicely with the steak. Very complex, full of dark fruit, earth and structured tannins on the finish.

Dark dark dark fruits. Soft, consistent, silky. Love these guys. Always delish.

Full bodied blend. Nice acid. Hangs on the palate with a delightful wine song. I hear Jerry Garcia. Truckin, I got my chips cashed in. Keep Truckin like the doo da man......

I like what these guys are doing notionally--this is a field blend of old vines, mixed grapes, found on Sandy Weill's Cali property of all things--but this is really huge and so much so it's hard to discern any nuance.

Cherry, blueberry, blackberry, vanilla, white pepper. Little round, but some subtle tannins. Maybe a little more time in the bottle...

Loads of dark fruit with a streak of acidity throughout. The acidity keeps the fruit fresh instead of a big fruit bomb. A little bit of heat on the finish. Definitely will continue to integrate better but already drinking well with a lengthy decant.
