Birth year wine! Nose is browning but palate is oh so suave and alive! Celery leaf translates from the nose to the palate and makes it quite the appetizing wine! 40 years can be young, dammit!

this died in the decanter after a couple of hours, but before then it was pretty much all you could ask for. made by Francisco Rinaldi for a big wine merchant in Torino.
