Obiviously too young to taste but it is not a wine for the ages. Decent light structure but don’t see the professional ratings. You can do better for the money. Not an unpleasant wine but certainly not memorable. The year or the wine maker?

Just loved this wine. Ashy, forest floor(?), good structure but not overbearing by any means. Delicious. Took a few hours to really open up.

Happy New Year Everyone! May it be better than the last.
PnP, so we’re waiting for it to open a bit.
N:Lots of leather, forest fruits, balsam, tar, lots of aromatic development.
P: light entrance, strawberry/cherry, deceptive 14°, med-light body, tannins present.Chewy, when you think savory, this fits the bill. Not fruit.
Stick your nose in there and it’s endlessly fascinating. Red/Browns.
As it airs, it becomes much more voluptuous, both N & P.

Was never bad, but got so much better since the Conternos took over. Its a pity the prices went thru the roof.

Good promise, but not ready. Still finding it’s way. Improved over three nights. Nervi was always a great find. Not so much now. Price has increased since Conterno’s name was added to the label.
