This had a really nice aroma with some petrichor noble reduction but mostly rich fruit--pineapple, marshmallow, and caramel. The palate was rich and mostly balanced with nicely integrated oak, but showed a bitterness that clashed with the rest of the finish. Gained weight and even more richness over a few hours, and at that point it went wonderfully with cheese.

2008 Aubert Chardonnay. Drank at Elvis Costello concert. Great, rounded Chardonnay. Not too oaky. Really enjoyed this.
