Nose is grass and butterscotch. Kind of an earthy quality as well. Like smelling soil in a new oak barrel. Lots of oak on the palate but with a real acidic twang on the back end. Has almost a metallic quality that’s a bit harsh. Overall I find it a bit unbalanced with too much oak influence. Wondering if it might be something to lay down for a few years and see if it mellows.

Radiant golden yellow. Nose: tart lemon, apricot, white grapefruit, green apple and honeysuckle. Taste: med bodied, med acidity and in mid with slight bitterness, lemon, grapefruit, alcohol is noticeable but sweet and not overpowering towards end, slight waxiness, very slight oak.

Delicious on day 1. Bright fruit and lemon zest rounded out with butter and a clean finish. Green apple and some smoke on the nose. By day 3 you are left with a bit too much zing.

Strong vanilla on the nose. Creamy, buttery melon and green apple flavors. Medium dry finish. Great balance and excellent value.
