Ruby with red fruit aromas and spicy herb floral notes, aged for 11 months in 35% new French oak. On the palate tart raspberry and cherry flavors with earthy tones. Tannins are firm with balanced acidity. Pleasant finish ending with a touch of minerality. Tasting Sample.

Medium ruby hue. Aromas of baking spice, cherry, smoke, raspberry, and vanilla. Medium body; soft, medium tannins; medium-plus acidity. Flavors of red fruit with a hint of spice and vanilla. A lush, velvety texture and a long, satisfying finish. Delightful with food or on its own.

Ruby coloration. Medium opacity. On the nose, black cherry, raspberry, spice and forest floor. On the palate, rich and medium-full bodied. Fruit forward, with strong notes of Cherry and Strawberry, together with vanilla and florals. Minerality and florals in the finish, which is medium.

The wine is a bit young still. It has a dry mouth feel and the fruit is a bit tight this is one that could use some time in the decanter.

You know, this is actually pretty delicious. It leans in the direction of PNs I generally don’t gravitate towards but, per usual, Amici doesn’t make anything that disagrees with my palate. Plenty of spices, musk and red berries all laced in an herbaceous quality that marries the soil with the fruit. Lovely acidity, very balanced, velvety, and delicious.
