Funky, vibrant, interesting. A wine that will could scare off some people. High alcohol, VA, and an array of brambly fruit, stemmy herbaceous-ness, some mousy character, and crushed rocks mingle about. This needs a lot of aeration to sort itself out. An interesting wine that may have gave more pleasure as a conversation piece than actually drinking it. Curious if this bottle or not

A little furry (tannins) before decant. Black fruits with a slight tar finish. Would never guess Tempranillo. Would pair well with lamb. SS

Almate 2015 firing on all cylinders, with the purity of red fruit layered over fine tannins, vibrant acidity, and alluvial minerality. #fourlayerdip

Not a bad value for $16. Nice nose, fruit-forward and tannic Tempranillo. A bit acidic, but a flavorful cheap wine.

Organic. Very little sulphates. Outstanding for under $20. Decant for 30 minutes.
